Tegegn Samuel

Weded “the little clay pot” (ውድድ “ትንሿ ሸክላ ድስት”), or the beloved one, is going to visit the animals at the zoo with her father, mother and her cat called ‘Wuro’. She is so happy that her father let Wuro join them. She told Wuro that he should be at his best behavior at the zoo. While visiting and taking pictures with the animals at the zoo, Wuro wonders off chasing a butterfly without their notice. When they realize that Wuro is lost, her father went looking for it. While waiting for her father, Weded meet with her friends who were also at the zoo. When she told them that she lost her cat, they told her that they had seen it at the lion’s cage. Weded father came and they all went to the lion’s cage. Wuro was playing with the lion’s cabs. She was very happy that she found Wuro unharmed. Finlay they all get together and their picture was taken with the lion family. Weded went home happily. This book is adobted from an Ethiopian 2d animation children television series called Weded “the little clay pot” (ውድድ “ትንሿ ሸክላ ድስት”), or the beloved one,(coming soon). The series is centered on Weded’s adventure with her family and friends. She is a little clay pot who lives with her father Ababa Shekla dist (Mr. Clay Pot), her mother Emama Shekla dist (Ms. Clay Pot), and her cat called Wuro. The series is based in its own make-believe world of “Adey Abeba” village, whose residents are animated household utensils. The whole series is imaginatively filled with characters such as pots and pans, coffee pots, scales, and the like. The stories depicted are bound to capture the imaginations of children with their uniquely Ethiopia feel.
